Richard B. Cheney an eminent public servant and entrepreneur is vice president of the United States. Cheney was well-known on the Washington political scene. George W. Bush was his fourth U.S. President. Bush selected Cheney to be his vice-presidential running mate in July 2000, citing Cheney's insight judgment and experience. Dick Cheney was a chief of Staff to Presidents, worked for the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense, and served the nation in various capacities. Both Republicans as well as Democrats appreciate his honesty and integrity. Cheney has said that the role he plays within the administration as one of an open and honest advisor to Bush. Cheney is adamant in accepting his nomination as the Republican vice president he wants to be a president candidate who can be a cross-partisan collaborator and work with their political adversaries with kindness and with a common cause. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. In the age of thirteen, Richard moved his family out of Nebraska and moved to Casper where his dad was head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.

I worked for months, working 12- hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with one child strapped on my back, and others playing into the playpen. Ha!
