Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She has the record of being given 10/10 points at an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who would become Comaneci's coach later on found her around the age of six. At first, she competed in the national junior championships in Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. Then in the year 1970, she was crowned champion. Three gold medals were awarded in her debut competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972, which was a the communist bloc nations. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior all-round champion. In 1975, she won four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first female to do a backward double salto as a dismount from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens, she began performing in travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry when she was in her teens. At the age of 13, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performances.

I worked for months, working 12- hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with one child strapped on my back, and others playing into the playpen. Ha!
