April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) started her journey in music as a 7th grader when she took piano and guitar classes. April's very first song was called Different. She wrote it when she was 12 years old. When she was 14, April devoted much of her day creating and playing with songs. Over the next few years, she took writing excursions with her father to LA and NY. April also included additional topics in her hit song, Take my Hand. These topics were meant for the friends of hers who struggled with issues such as peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide thinking. Lockhart has her own following and also works as a lifestyle blogger with the renowned Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. She was born without her left hand and that is part of who she is--but this isn't the whole truth. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap in her posts on Instagram, however she doesn't make it the focus of her story. The message? This is the message: We all have numerous identities. We're much more complex than we think we are. I do not want this to determine me. I do not want to be a disability influencer in which I only speak about since there are other elements to me. Lockhart speaks via video from her residence in Nashville. The fact that she is a disability influencer doesn't impact my daily life. It's all normal, and I've learned how to make adjustments. It's an integral part of my life, therefore it's important that we talk about the subject. Lockhart is a true source of motivation for self-acceptance generally she is on a long journey to achieve it. However, she admits to going through phases of insecurity with her body, and also feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and proudly posts pictures of herself dressed in outfits she chooses on social media. She says that self-love is a journey. I'm not sure when you'll reach the end. However, that is the case with anyone that is prone to doubts. People you associate yourself with, who know you, and can see through your eyes are the best people to help you remember what you're worrying about.
