Ree Drummond Ree Drummond, an American food writer and blogger who is also a TV host, has worked as a writer for television since the year 2005. Her most well-known work is the blog she runs called The Pioneer Woman. She is a resident of an Oklahoma ranch. On her blog, she describes her life at the ranch in Oklahoma, as both a woman and mother. The Pioneer Woman was awarded the Annual Weblog Awards, The Pioneer Woman won the Weblog of the Year in 2009, 2011, 2010 and 2012. Growing up in Bartlesville Oklahoma she studied journalism as well as gerontology at the college level. In 2006 she started her online blog pioneerwoman.typepad.com and later changed the name to Confessions of a Pioneer Woman and finally to The Pioneer Woman. Confessions remains among the many popular sections of her website. The blog earned huge fame and success with several important publications that praised her writing style her ideas and quality photos. Her blog is also able to share visually impressive recipes for food. The show she hosts, The Pioneer Woman, that is still airing today on The Food Network today was launched in 2011. Her cookbooks contain recipes. Columbia Pictures recently announced their plans to adapt her book Black Heels and Tractor Wheels into a feature-length film.
